Meet Lewis MacLennan: Supporting clients with clarity and confidence

Lewis MacLennan

In June 2025, pleased to welcome Lewis MacLennan to the McHardy Private Wealth team. With a strong belief in clear, tailored advice and a passion for helping people make confident financial decisions, Lewis brings both expertise and warmth to his role.

Here, Lewis shares what drew him to financial advice, the areas he supports clients with, and what he gets up to outside of work.

What attracted you to the financial advice industry?

I’ve always enjoyed working with people and wanted a career where I could make a meaningful impact. It’s incredibly rewarding to help clients feel more confident and in control of their financial future. No two situations are the same, and that variety, along with the chance to build lasting relationships and professional friendships, is what really attracted me to the profession.

What types of things can you help clients with?

My focus is on helping people navigate life’s big financial decisions, whether that’s planning for retirement, managing investments, protecting loved ones, or passing on wealth efficiently. I have a particular interest in cash flow modelling – it’s a powerful tool that helps bring a client’s financial plan to life, and I’ve seen first-hand the clarity and peace of mind it can provide. Ultimately, I aim to make the complex feel simple and try to tailor my advice to what truly matters to each client.

How do you like to spend your time outside of work?

The most important thing is spending lots of time with my family and friends outside of work. I used to play a lot of rugby, but now the boots are well and truly hung up! Now I enjoy keeping fit, watching any sport I can, getting out for a round of golf when I can, and playing (if you can call it that) my guitar. I’m a big music fan, whether it’s playing, listening, or going to live gigs.
